Kedao Tong received his BA in East Asian Studies from the University of Toronto and completed his MA at Stanford. His main field of interest is the history of Chinese Buddhism from the Song to the Ming dynasties, with a focus on the relation of Buddhism to Chinese ritual life and literary culture. He is currently working on a project that examines the liturgical use of Buddhist commentaries in late imperial China.
