Venerable Shi Huifeng: "Between Faith & Knowledge"

Abstract:

In the modern religious world, faith and knowledge are often presented as if unrelated, or even incompatible or mutually opposed. This talk will look into their respective roles in Buddhist thought and practice, and also point to the path of how they are developed together in balance, to reach their fulfillment.

Bio:

A member of the Fo Guang Shan (佛光山) Chinese Buddhist Saṅgha since 2000, Huifeng (慧峰) is a PhD candidate at the University of Hong Kong, studying the common ground of thought and practice in Indian and East Asian Buddhism.
