Jack Kornfield: "Mindfulness and Compassion: A Gracious and Wise Heart"
When we offer attention and compassion to ourselves, to our work and the world, our life is transformed. The beautiful truth, revealed by modern neuroscience and ancient Buddhist teachings, is that these qualities can be awakened in everyone. In this half day together we will create a retreat to systematically learn about and practice these simple and revolutionary trainings to quiet the mind, focus the attention and open the heart. Because our happiness and well being grows from a well tended inner ground, we will learn practices to transform suffering, develop self-compassion, and courageously live from our deepest and most positive intentions.Through storytelling, practical exercises, teachings and dialogue we will explore the arts of mindfulness for living a wise and joyful life.
